Attention Wawa Fans: Urgent Recall of Tumblers!
Wawa enthusiasts, it’s time to check your kitchen cabinets! A significant recall has been issued for approximately 60,000 tumblers sold across Wawa locations in nine states and regions, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This recall is prompted by concerns over a potential laceration hazard associated with the product.
The tumblers in question are 24-ounce reusable mugs featuring the Wawa logo prominently on the front. They were sold in various attractive colors: “The Mermaid” (a pink and green combination), “Island Surf” (in blue and yellow), “Sailor Breeze” (tan and orange), and “The Galaxy” (blue and pink). Each of these tumblers is equipped with a tan lid and a metal straw. The metal straw is the main concern, as there have been four reported incidents of consumers suffering cuts to their mouths and/or fingers while using it.
These tumblers, priced at $12.99, were sold in August 2024 at Wawa locations in these states: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
